Our Story
Textilepop
Textilepop is a textile arts space focused on providing creative sewing instruction for all ages and skills, while also serving as an artist’s studio for contemporary fiber artwork designed and made by owner Nicki Voss. Classes for kids, teens, and adults at Textilepop include learning how to use a sewing machine, hand sewing, needle arts, garment construction, quilting, embroidery, and much more. Taught in both individual lessons and small, friendly, hands-on groups, sessions at Textilepop are fun, practical, and inspiring.
Founded in early 2021 by artist and business owner Nicki Voss, Textilepop’s original art quilts are intentionally designed to encourage curiosity and stewardship of the earth at large. Textilepop is a Los Angeles County registered Community Business Enterprise - Women Business Enterprise, and received the State of California Small Business (SB) certification in 2022. Textilepop was a recipient of a California Dream Fund grant in 2022 and a Hello Alice Creative Business Boost Initiative grant in 2024.
